If it's based on a false revelation, it doesn't belong in any season at all.
If it's based on a true revelation, then Jesus Christ Himself ordered it to be celebrated on this day, not on any other. His liturgical taste trumps yours, I think. :-)
It's a matter of private revelation, which by definition is not binding on all Catholics.
