Bttt!

We had a Sri Lankan priest in the Diocese of Tulsa for several years. He was quite admirable!

Dear Tax-Chick,

Wow! You have really lived in a number of places all across the United States. Tulsa, Oklahoma is quite a nice place from what I hear.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Doesn't Tulsa have a "Small Town Atmosphere" ?

Now, back to your comment. Yes, Most Sri Lankan Catholic Priests have an "Apostolic Attitude" as well as Fervour which is a part and parcel of their Personality -- Spiritually and Intellectually Speaking.

Actually, a Large number of Catholic Priests from Goa, where I am originally from-- From the 17th Century - 20th Century have been involved in the Evangelization of Sri Lanka formerly known as Ceylon.

PRAISED BE JESUS CHRIST.

Blessed Father Joseph Vaz was a trendsetter and a pioneer for his time. Simply, because at that time most of the Missionaries to India as well as Ceylon or Sri Lanka were Europeans -- but here was a Goan Indian Oratorian Priest who took it uopn himself to start an "Oratory" in Goa for the evangelization of Sri Lanka.

Thank You for your Comments and for visiting this Thread.

How are the Kids Doing ? Specially, the littlest one ?

I pray for you often specially now, that we are into the 8th Day of the Novena to the Divine Mercy.

IN THE RISEN LORD,
