Islam's March Against the West

My only crime was that I was a Christian living in a Christian town. I learned at 10 years old the meaning of the word "infidel." I had a crash course in survival not in girl scouts, but in a bomb shelter where I lived for seven years in pitch darkness, freezing cold, drinking stale water and eating grass to live.

At the age of thirteen I dressed in my burial clothes going to bed at night waiting to be slaughtered and by the age of 20 I had buried most of my friends who were killed by Muslims. We were not Americans living in New York, or Britons in London, we were Arab Christians living in Lebanon.

As a victim of Islamic terror, I was amazed when I saw Americans waking up on September 12th 2001 asking themselves "Why do they hate us?" The psychoanalyst experts were coming up with all sort of excuses as to what did we do to offend the Muslim World? If America and the west were paying attention to the Middle East they would not have had to even ask the question. Simply put, they hate me and you because we are defined in their eyes by one simple word, "infidels."

Under the banner of Islam "la, ilaha illa allah, muhammad rasoulu allah," there is no God but Allah, Muhammad is his prophet, they murdered “Jewish children in Israel, massacred Christians in Lebanon, killed Copts in Egypt, Assyrians in Syria, Hindus in India, and expelled almost 900,000 Jews out of Muslim lands”. We Middle Eastern infidels paid the price then and for their indifference and shortsightedness infidels worldwide are paying the price now.

Tolerating evil is a crime. Appeasing murderers doesn't buy protection, it earns disrespect and loathing in the enemy's eyes. Apathy is the weapon by which the west is committing suicide. Political correctness is the shackles around our ankles by which Islamists are leading us to our demise.

America and the West are doomed to failure in this war unless they stand up and identify the real enemy. “Islam”. You hear about Wahabbi and Salafi Islam as the only extreme form of Islam. All the other Muslims are wonderful moderates. I hope the pictures of the irrational eruption of violence from around the world in reaction to the cartoons of Mohammed from burning embassies, to calls to butcher those who mock Islam, or to warnings to be prepared for the real holocaust, has given you a glimpse into the real face of the enemy. The news pictures and video of these events represents a canvas of hate decorated by different nationalities who share one common ideology of hate, bigotry and intolerance derived from one source. Authentic Islam. An Islam that is awakening from centuries of slumber to re-ignite its wrath against the infidel and dominate the world. An Islam which has declared "Intifada" on the West.

America and the West can no longer afford to lay in their lazy state of overweight ignorance. The consequences of this mental disease are starting to attack the body and if they don't take the necessary steps now to control it, death will be knocking soon.

If you want to understand the nature of the enemy we face, visualize a tapestry of snakes. They slither and they hiss, and they would eat each other alive, but they will unite in a hideous mass to achieve their common goal of imposing Islam on the world. This is the ugly face of the enemy we are fighting.

We are fighting a powerful ideology that is capable of altering human basic instincts. An ideology that can turn a mother into a launching pad of death. A perfect example is a recently elected Hamas official in the Palestinian Territories who raves in heavenly joy about sending her three sons to death and offering the ones who are still alive for the cause. It is an ideology that is capable of offering highly educated individuals, such as doctors and lawyers, far more joy in attaining death than any respect and stature life in society is ever capable of giving them.

The United States has been a prime target for radical Islamic hatred and terror. Every Friday, mosques in the Middle East ring with shrill prayers and monotonous chants calling death, destruction and damnation down on America and its people. The radical Islamists' deeds have been as vile as their words. Since the Iran Hostage crisis, more than three thousand Americans have died in a terror campaign almost unprecedented in its calculated cruelty along with thousands of other citizens worldwide. Even the Nazis did not turn their own children into human bombs, and then rejoice at their deaths as well the deaths of their victims. This intentional, indiscriminate and wholesale murder of innocent American citizens is justified and glorified in the name of Islam.

America cannot effectively defend itself in this war unless and until the American people understand the nature of the enemy that we face. Even after 9/11 there are those who say that we must "engage" our terrorist enemies, that we must "address their grievances".

Their grievance is our freedom of religion. Their grievance is our freedom of speech. Their grievance is our democratic process where the rule of law comes from the voices of many not that of just one prophet. It is the respect we instill in our children towards all religions. It is the equality we grant each other as human beings sharing a planet and striving to make the world a better place for all humanity.

Their grievance is the kindness and respect a man shows a woman, the justice we practice as equals under the law, and the mercy we grant our enemy. Their grievance cannot be answered by an apology for who or what we are.

Our mediocre attitude of not confronting Islamic forces of bigotry and hatred wherever it raised its ugly head in the last 30 years, has empowered and strengthened our enemy to launch a full scale attack on the very freedoms we cherish in their effort to impose their values and way of life on our civilization.

If we don't wake up and challenge our Muslims in our community’s to take action against the terrorists within it, if we don't believe in ourselves as Americans and in the standards we should hold every patriotic American to, we are going to pay a price for our shortsighted delusion.

For the sake of our children and our country, we must wake up and take action. In the face of a torrent of hateful invective and terrorist murder, America's learning curve since the Iran hostage crisis is so shallow that it is almost flat. The longer we lay supine, the more difficult it will be to stand erect.

I came across this article today. It is all about a "Maronite Catholic Woman" and her struggle in Lebanon as an Arab Christian and as a Catholic.

She is now a News Anchor.

Well, I honestly think that we Americans DO understand the nature of the Islamic enemy we face. I fear our knowledge will do us no good at all until George Bush and his crowd are out of the White House, however, and by then he, his administration, the global industrialists and Saudis who own him and a useless Republican majority in Congress will have seen to it that we're too broke and overrun with illegals and Mohammaden immigrants to do anything about it.

On the flip side, my family and I spent yesterday (Feast of the Annunciation) eating falafal with several Lebanese Orthodox and Maronite families who moved here within the past 15 years. They all, save one, maintained that in fact at least in Lebanon and Syria the overwhelming majority of Mohammadens wanted no part of any trouble with anyone and got along fine with their Christian neighbors. They blamed the situation in Lebanon on the Palis, Mohammaden and Christian!

I find your following comment difficult to understand. Are you blaming the Lebanese Christians "Maronite and Melkites" for all the problems and for bringing the massacre of so many of their Brothers and Sisters on themselves.

The Maronite Church, along with the other christian churches in the near east, are very familiar with Islam and persecution.

On the morning of July 10, 1860, Christians were massacred, their houses destroyed and their goods stolen. The survivors took refuge in the citadel, aided by the great Emir Abdel-Kader of Algeria, and by several Muslims.

Around 8 o’clock in the evening, while fire took hold of the Orthodox Christian quarters, Francis, Abdel Mohti, and Raphael Massabki were at home. Fearing the furor and ferocity of the massacres, they left their wives and children and headed for the Franciscan convent.

At 11 o’clock, the Mission Superior closed and barricaded the doors, and invited the refugees into the church. After the litany, the Fathers heard confession and gave communion to all of the devoted present. From the church, they climbed to the convent terrace; only Francis remained kneeling before the altar of the Sorrowful Mother.

At one hour past midnight, the slaughterers infiltrated the house by a secret door shown to them by Hassan Allaf, the house manager. Some refugees took flight. Ahmed’s agents seized the Superior who promised to show them the hiding place of a treasure. They followed him in delirious joy. The Father descended into the church, lighted two candelabras, opened the tabernacle, and swallowed the Blessed Hosts. He was killed upon the altar. Francis remained kneeling before the Virgin. Ahmed’s agents recognized him. They advanced towards him and said: “Sheik Abdallah has sent us to save you from death; you, your brothers, your families, and all those who depend upon you for protection, on the condition that you deny your faith and convert to Islam.” Francis responded calmly: “Sheik Abdallah can take the money I lent him, he can also take my life; but my faith, no one can make me deny. I am a Maronite Christian and on the faith of Christ, I will die.”

“We will kill you,” they cried. “I will be with my Lord.” Francis then began a prayer, which he finished in heaven. The slaughterers massacred him with swords, hatchets, and daggers.

Abdel Mohti was on the church terrace, when the convent fell into the hands of the assassins. He ran to the church to take refuge near his brother, but at the chapel door, he was seized and asked to deny his faith in order to enter Islam. His life would be spared. In a clear voice, he proclaimed: “I am a Christian, kill me, I am ready.” Daggers and hatchets severed his body and he fell at the church door.

As for Raphael, he was hiding in a corner of the convent. They found him and propositioned him: “become a Muslim, you will be saved.” Raphael fell to his knees and appealed to the Holy Virgin. He was beheaded and trampled.

The situation in Lebanon is quite unique. Following the Civil War, the new government was established in a way that Lebanese christians and muslims would share power. From what I understand, under the Constitution, the President of Lebanon is always a Maronite Catholic while the Prime Minister is always a Muslim (not sure which branch).

One year ago, Maronite Patriarch Sfeir was called to Washington, DC by President Bush, to discuss this arrangement vis a vis the current situation in the Middle East.

Both of the US Maronite Bishops - Shaheen and Mansour - were present at this remarkable meeting.

I have pinged freeper 'patrick_k', a Maronite Catholic living in Lebanon, to provide a more detailed description of this working relationship. Thank you all for this discussion.

I thoght I will not write an essay on this. It has been widely discussed on this forum and on many others.
Whatever people say or think, there is only one truth we should consider, it is the essence of islamic teachings which is very clear, regarding expansion and considering the whole world as divided in 2 parts, the House of Peace (Dar Es-Salam) and the House of War (Dar Al Harb). And that is a precept, not a concept.
You could very well have very good and faithful moslem friends, you sense that at some time there is a wall between you two, and that is precisely because of that kind of precepts, you can feel them embarrassed by these precepts and you can see that they are not at ease when somebody from the world moslem community asks the moslems to abide by these precepts.
You have two kinds of islam, the sunni and the Shii. Sunnis take the book in its integrity (integrism), not having the right to explain the text, while shiites believe that their Aallamas have the right to interpret the writings, so more flexible.
The last upsurge of Sunni expression of this state of mind in Lebanon was on Feb, 5th. An organized moslem mob, coming at the call of Dar Al Ifta, the highest sunni religious authority to protest the famous Mohammed danish drawings, 'invaded' the christian neighborhood of Ashrafieh, vandalizing everything on their passage. The residents refrained from using force and remained indoors whatever happened, else it was meant to be the loss of hundreds of lives in the mob. Amongst wrecking a few hundred cars and other, they threw stones at the Saint Maron Church, downtown Beirut, and teared off the Cross at the entrance of the Greek Orthodox's Bishop quarters, a very beautiful residence from the XIXth century.
The Sunni Premier (on Hariri payroll) declared to the press that he intentionnally did not give order to the security forces to contain the demonstration, fearing that things would escalate!!!! In any civilized country, it would not be a receivable pretext. So would it be receivable here to leave it to the civilians to defend themselves where any home has at least one assault rifle?
I leave it to you to consider.

Whether we are Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, or Eastern Orthdox, this is a reminder of what some souls still face living in Muslim majority countries, and what will face all of us if Islam and Shaira ever take over here. We may have our various differences, but the Jihadistinians don't give a fig about that - they want all of us to either convert or be executed, with a few tokens from each of our respective communities to remain as dhimmis to be paraded as tools to show how "merciful" and "tolerant" Islam is.
