I'm not Catholic, but I agree with you, very sad. I've seen in the Episcopal Church...that the great majority of altar "kids" are girls. Adolescent boys, since they are establishing their manhood, do not want to do duties like this if they are associated with girls.
Same thing happens in certain sports. My public high school had a terrific boys rowing crew....until girls were allowed and encouraged to row. Then the crew became to be considered a girl's sport by many unfamiliar with it (it's about the physically toughest sport there is in actuallity), and lost its appeal with the guys--who would play football, an unequivically male sport (for now) instead. Now a minority are the boys' crew, and my high school is no longer competitive in boy's rowing.
But boy (girl?), there are some rough and tough husky girls now...who sweat, spit, and curse, and are generally uninterested in their femininity. I guess the feminists are now so proud...
So much of feminism seems to be about defeminizing women, turning them into unpleasent masculine immitators. Very (very) disturbing.
