MOSCOW, Russia – Another joyous occasion in Russia’s capital has benefited multiple children of the Moscow Jewish community. This Sunday, 15 students attending the ‘Achei Tmimim’ Day School network joined together for a life-changing celebration. The young enthusiasts eagerly underwent their Bar Mitzvah ceremony, for which many of their families, friends and teachers had gathered to mark this occasion.

The Head of the School, Rabbi Kuravsky, spoke to the children at the event, expressing pride in their decision to finally become adults in the eyes of the Jewish community. He presented books to each of the children, after which they and the other guests watched a video featuring an address to Jewish children celebrating their coming-of-age, given by the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory.

The festive ceremony continued for quite some time and in due course, participants found themselves engaging in cheerful dances and a delicious kosher meal, prepared especially for this landmark.
