***you need to learn the history there have been church of Christ congregation's in America decades before Alexander Campbell***
Oh really? When the C of C were trying to convert me they showed me a film of the history of their C of C church.
Guess where it led back to...Alexander Campbell and Barton Stone.
***btw I have no website***
I am referring to the El Paso c of c. from which the you posted the article.
Alexander Campbell and Barton Stone were both important figures in the restoration movement in this country, but by no means founded the church. The church was founded by our Lord Jesus Christ.

But when other Christians claim to be founded on the Lord Jesus Christ you bow up and claim they are founded on the teachings of men. No different from being founded on the teachings of Alexander Campbell.
What makes "YOU" right and "THEM" wrong.
The church to which I was added on the day I obeyed the Gospel is not founded on the teachings of any man. It is found on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Just because Alexander Campbell or someone else helped lead the restoration movement in this country does not mean what he said is considered inspired. The whole point of the Restoration Movement was to get back to the Bible.

Yet when others make the same claim you accuse them of "denominationalism". What makes you so different.
And any restoration movements began as far back as John Wycliff.
If someone makes a claim that they follow only the Bible, and yet they are doing something different from what the Bible teaches, then that is when I would say they are part of a denomination.

So, as I have shown many a time, by your standards if they don't dot the i and cross the t YOUR WAY, they are not Christian or saved.
Just which group that traces their beginning, er, that is, "restoration" to Alexander Campbell are NOT saved?
Diciples of Christ.(liberal)
First Christian church.(instrumental music)
Church of Christ.
Church of Christ (no sunday school)
Church of Christ (one cup)
Once again, someone insists on putting words in my mouth. I didn't say anything about my way. If someone is not following the Bible, it is God's way they are opposing, not mine.
