I feel guilty now for not having spent more time with Fr. Altier's homilies but please do email the zip file. Thank you.
Dear Bearwash,
As, I have your personal email I.D. I will send the winzip file to you asap which contains all the Homilies of Father Altier for 2001 and 2002.
In fact, I will do more than that.
I will send you U.R.L's and possibly post them here on this thread for the Homilies and Talks that he had given in 2003, 2004, 2005, and the Homilies that he had given in 2006 right up till the last day that is Ash Wednesday of this week.
I always felt for some time that the Archbishop of Minneapolis would take action against him. He is an Ultra Liberal who is Pro Gay and is known to give Holy Communion at the Cathedral of Saint Paul to Catholic Homosexuals who are active in their lifestyle.
Now, I am so happy that I am not discerning a vocation or a religious life anymore as I came extremely close to losing my sanity, well being, and catholic faith when I was in formation as a Postulant at the Trappist Monastery in Conyers, Georgia and at the supposedly conservative Franciscan Order in Loretto, Pennsylvania where many of the Friars were openly gay.
I was so traumatized that when I returned to India all I wanted to do was join a Pentecostal Church or a Baptist Church or become an Atheist or Agnostic that is till I started reading Father Altier's Homilies on a regular basis along with saying the Family Rosary and Chaplet of the Divine Mercy.
I came extremely close to cursing God in India and the United States as a result of these horrendous experiences in Religious Life in the United States.
It seemed that wherever I was discerning a vocation, I was being subjected to all kinds of immoral behavior by openly gay Friars or Monks -- some of them were even bisexual.
I hate to say this on this thread. But, The Director of Postulants before I joined the Franciscan Friars Third Order Regular had died of AIDS-- to make matters worse his successor was a Friar who was openly gay and had deep rooted hatred and contempt for all Church Teaching.
Whenever, I spoke about inappropriate behavior to any one wherever I was -- all that they did was deny that it was happening and then attack me and engage in all kinds of Verbal Abuse.
Thus, I really know what Father Altier is up against. My prayers are for him 24-7-365.
One of his favorite comments in a number of his Homilies was that as Catholic Christians we are called to live Jesus Christ 24-7- 365 days a year.
We do not get a vacation from being Catholic. He is an extremely Holy Priest and spends many hours a day in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
Some of his finest Homilies are on the Real Presence as well as on Our Lady.
In Jesus and Mary,
