Could it be becasue the Jesus knew that John was going to be the Last Apostle standing?

Could it be becasue the Jesus knew that John was going to be the Last Apostle standing?That's certainly a new, um, twist, considering she was between 45-50 at the Ressurection. Just one of many things still unexplained.
