I just want to know it that is you in the curl on your web page, LOL!
I was going to try tow in before but man, you gotta have a)large jewels b)several people all knowing what they are doing. Its not as easy as just paddling out.
The biggest I ever rode was 12 foot solid North Shore, which means about 20 plus foot faces using the old way of measuring. After that I decided I will stick with solid 6 foot North Shore waves because I don't want to die anytime soon and surfing is meant to be fun.
Free falling 20 feet through the air onto the reef then having the millions of gallons chase after you knocking you silly and holding you under for 4 minutes... not my idea of fun.
Not to mention I don't live near any real surfable spots now. I decided to come to the mainland and get a real job rather than choose to live in a van eating spam cooked over a camp stove for the foreseeable future.
