Can you say A-P-O-S-T-A-S-Y?

Now you've taken it way too far.

I do not doubt Mr. Warren's committment to Christ. I have reason to question his vision, and as far as his statements as quoted in this article, I have reason to doubt his intelligence. But I think it is really awful when Christians accuse Mr. Warren of such things as A-P-O-S-T-A-C-Y.

When you publicly accuse a brother of that you'd better pray to God that you are right.

While I feel pretty uspet about Warren's statements in regard to fundamentalists and his global United Nations vision for the Church, I will not stoop so low as to call him an apostate. Further, I am not going to sit idly by while Mr. Warren's name is unfairly and viciously dragged through the mud. Criticize him all you want, but if you accuse him of apostacy, you are making a very grave accusation. I don't think you have the ammunition to back it up. Further, I suspect that your own theology is not exactly perfect either. So back off.

I don't think anyone has accused Warren of that. I think people have rightly noted that he teaches a false divisive doctrine and that he has moved away from the faith once delivered to the saints. In other words, he has apostazied, if that's how you spell it.

Chistians MUST point out these errors before the pollute the whole body of Christ.

Just because he looks like a big friendly teddy bear doesn't mean that he is.

We have already seen how he so easily dismisses Christians and compares them to Muslim terrorist.

I mean, it's not like the guy is orthodox in any way any longer.

First of all, my spelling of apostasy is the correct one.

I'm not backing off from anything, least of all you.

I don't pretend to judge Rick Warren's heart but I can judge what he does with God's Holy Word. When Biblical truth is forfeited for man's benefit and man willingly drives the faithful away for not adhering to the untruth, apostasy is alive and well and rearing its ugly head.

If the word is too harsh for your tender ears, I suggest you fasten your seat belt. The battle for Christ's church will get much worse.

Take a long look at prophecy. This should really come as no shock to you. Apostasy (Gee, I said it again) will not arrive with lights and sirens. You know the warning of the wolf in sheep's clothing.

I guess you expect the wolf to wear a scary suit and badge identifying himself as such.

With regard to Rick's personal life I probably wouldn't call him apostate. However his teachings are so vague that they allow heresy to flourish, and error if left unchecked gives rise to further error. (e.g. a little leaven leavens the whole lump) I cannot judge him by his personal life since I have no access to that. I judge his teachings. He is sorely mistaken, and refuses correction because he has not publicly realized his error and fixed it. I can also judge that.
