Questions, if I may...
1. 31,000 worshippers in 77 parishes?..that's 400 or so members per church...that can't be correct?...it sounds way to high...
2. 6 have already left..1 more just announced, and another 5 are considering it..that's nearly 20%..the "tipping" point is really coming fast...

They're probably counting very loosely. Members who leave rarely "transfer" their membership, so they can sit on the old rolls for a long time.
And yes, the tipping point does seem to be coming quickly, at least in this diocese.

400 members per parish * 10% church attendance = 40 worshippers per parish. That's one heck of a SMALL church to me. (But then I'm Catholic.)
