If you hang around these threads for a few days you'll notice there's a very obvious and constantly repeating connection between creationists and the tendency to be dishonest.
I do love the irony, that in order for man to proclaim himself THE superior intellect, he has to proclaim that he is the product of complete unintelligence and irrationality.
I can well understand why you consider the Old Testament God irrational, but isn't it a bit harsh to call him unintelligent?
(Though I suppose drowning 99% of what you created isn't the smartest move I've ever heard)
Feel free to e-mail Casey Luskin ...
Hmm ... Where have I heard that name before -- I suppose this is just a wild coincidence.
Archival ping.
the foolishness of God is Wiser than the wisest of man,
but nice try. it is tough to think of oneself as a superior intellect if there is a greater intellect that created all there is.
by all means if you think you could creat a better universe, life all the support it needs, by all means. demostrate how foolish it was.
I looked at a couple of thoise Pat Robertson threads. Can't recall a single post supporting that idiot's comment about Sharon.
FLASH: Pat Robertson is not the guru of the ID Movement. Nice try.
These same critics of ID and students have no problem with Harry Potter and it's thread of evil and witchcraft. Interesting.
Funny thing is, the few people I know who teach at Cornell are NOT the wacked out liberal types that everyone would expect, and one of them it pretty high up in his dept. They're really nice folks, married, and seem to have a lot of common sense; I'd say they tend to be conservative but don't know their views on a lot of subjects. However, they have NEVER pushed a liberal agenda on me, and I had one of them as a prof for several classes at a different school. There's hope.
No surprise here that the IDers are gaining a foothold in Ithica. They've already established themselves in other far-left moonbat bastions such as Seattle (home of the Discovery Institute), Berkely (home of Philip Johnson) and Ann Arbor (home of the Thomas More Center), so the City of Evil only comes naturally to them.
Something for the Your Brain on Creationism section?
It's bad enough when the left equates the two, but far too many on the right do the same as well.
Look around you. Everything you see is either a product of blind chance or the product of a designer. If you see design then there was a designer. If you see a plan, then there was a planner. If you see coordination, then there was a coordinator. If you see chaos then it is probably the result of blind chance. There is a great web site which addresses this subject from a scientific prospective. It is www.doesgodexist.org. You might invest a few minutes in considering the information provided there.
So you found one. It's obvious that a vast majority of posters, many of whom appear to be Christians, think Robertson is an idiot. I would fit in that category. i don't know of a single Christian who takes Roberstson seriously these days. He's been whacked out for some time and he should just shut up.
Wow! It must be nice to sit in your little ivory tower and ponder how much smarter you are than God.
It's too stupid. No one would believe it.
do liberal atheist call conservative athiest "evil"?
I mean concept "evil" would be nothing more than a product of the human mind (atheist perspective) thus by definition subjective.
