I would have replied the way you did, Alamo-Girl, about The Name
being the Whole (representation of the Person). Before I was a Believer I did not like my name given me at birth (no accounting for taste, etc.!). After becoming a follower of the Way in Jesus Christ I discovered the
meaning of my (first and middle and last) name and understood why it was so and what a blessing it was. He knew me and He named me.
My three original and real-life (: names mean:
"Consecrated to God" "(by) Grace" "(with) Strength".
As delightful as all that is, it is knowing HIS NAME that is my security! Amen.
Conversely, hosepipe, as you intimate, His Name is "Wonderful". To me this is saying that His Name is so vast, so "full of wonder" that mere man could never plumb its depths.
