But perhaps I need to forgive all the Mormons I have known for their passionate ignorance and desire to deceive as they tried to proselytize me.
It was a deep wound that helped me in the long run to be scrupulous where Christian doctrine is concerned.
wow, that pride thing is a toughie, ain't it?... and Charity to a young man that died doing what??? Just trying to find his way towards the Lord.
But of course since you're the final word on who the "false teachers" are then by all means pass judgment on these evil false teachers. By all means let us not forget that you suffered a "deep wound" that now allows you to scrupulously defend the Christian doctrine by putting down others. That's what Jesus did... and Paul.... and I guess Peter.
From what I can tell, most of us are just trying to muddle through the best we can in hope that the Lord will somehow through his grace let our pathetic lives reflect well on his sacrifice for us.
I think anytime you think you're a "better Christian" than somebody else....... you need to take a hard look in the mirror brother.
Pride.... it's a mother..... I know, I've got it in spades.
C.S. Lewis wrote a chapter in Mere Christianity on pride. It's book three chapter 8, called The Great Sin. It's a great read.
You nailed it, Dick Vomer ~ congratulations!
