"In Carthage, they used bullets to kill a prophet."

"They" means other Mormons.

Okay. I've stayed out of this one, but now I have to jump in.

"They" were Baptists who were trying to silence Smith. I know. I'm a Baptist and I've researched this. My Father-In-Law was a priest in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

That having been said, while I disagree with a lot of the things found in The Book Of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price, this has no bearing on the type of people one finds in the LDS or RLDS churches. These are the kindest, most loving people I have ever met.

Regardless of their faith, it's sad that these two young men were gunned down. Prayers go out to Joshua Heidbrink and his family, as well as the family of Morgan Winslow Young, the missionary who was killed.

Hmmm..... His name was Young, and he was from Salt Lake City. I can't help but wonder if he was a direct descendant.

As with any group you'll find Mormons who are not 'kind and loving.' It is dangerous when we assume a human quality to a group of people....It leaves us open to deception. That would be like saying Republicans are the kindest most loving people - some Republicans are lying, deceitful, con-artist. The same can also be said of Mormons...watch out for those kind!

Hey I could be wrong. Not everything you read on the web is true.:) Was anyone ever convicted of his murder?

Yes he could be a direct decendant of Brigham Young. Young did have dozens of children.
