Hey Old M Man

This California gal is NOT twisting the word.

Sorry, I have too much respect for the Lord to do that.

I just thought everyone in this day and age of the Internet and everything, knew that Mormonism is a cult. It is so obvious and sad and easy to dispute.

But the saddest thing of all is that I think Joseph Smith was really deceived by a Demon.

Yep. A Demon disguised as an angel of Light. And he was so caught up in all that Masonry and desirous of having more than one wife or whatever, that the lure of "being a god" as Satan promised Eve in the Garden -- was just too much for him. That's what I really think.

Because that's what Paul said would happen. And John. And Jesus. We are to be on guard against false teachers with a different gospel (i.e. baptizing for the dead, Jesus was Satan's brother, etc., etc) and a different Jesus.

So, why do you need the book of Mormon? Isn't the Bible enough? Could you be a good Christian if you just threw out the Book of Mormon?

I wonder. Truly.

Judging from your comments on this thread, apparently not.

Could you be a good Christian if you accepted the Bible as it is?

There is a great deal of blather and balderdash on the internet. Your opinion of the prophet Joseph Smith is your opinion. Your opinion was not gained with the instructions of the first chapter of the Book of James and you know it.

Perhaps you should find some other group to bash, such as baptists.
