When you capitalize "the Word", I presume you mean the Bible - correct me if I am wrong... In reality, the Word is the Second Person of the Trinity. Our religion is based upon His revelation to man, not the Bible alone.The only place His revelation to man can be found is in the Bible.

The only place His revelation to man can be found is in the Bible. Where exactly did you get that idea from? The Bible never mentions that! I think you are forgeting that the APOSTLES provided us with Christ's revelation - whether given orally or in written word.
