"I don't see Kosta or Kolokotronis agreeing that the thread should be locked. It is customary for some Catholic and Orthodox posters to avoid controversy during Lent, but this is not the same as leaving discussions hanging forever."

Personally, I guess I'd as soon see the thread continue. I do have to wonder whether or not we haven't gone about as far as we can, though, unless the Orthodox and Latins want to get into a discussion of created vs. uncreated grace and have the Calvinists join in that one. My bowing out had more to do with the RM's comments than the fact that we are still in Great Lent. That said, for us Orthodox, Great Week begins this Sunday Evening and I doubt you'l be seeing much of the Orthodox posters for the seven days through Pascha. We'll be in church all week! :)

If this thread is locked, maybe one of us could post a chapter of St. Athanasius the Great "On the Incarnation", a subject I think we all have a basic agreement on, we could then read the whole thing, which isn't long and discuss that for a couple of thousand posts. Its a subject which can teach all of us about varying ideas of "salvation" or "theosis", the relatively brief discussions of which on this thread I found the most interesting and instructive.

Following Orthodx Easter, I plan a series of threads on atonement, as you know, which I imagine would be primarily of interest for the Catholic and Orthodox. I don't think we can discuss the uncreated grace before we understand atonement and ransom. Or am I wrong?
