" That depends on who you think the writer is, and how much of his/His own intent went into the writing."

I may have commented on this before, but it is certainly completely outside the theology of The Church to say or believe that God "wrote" the scriptures. That's nothing more than Mohammadenism and is a belief which has caused great distress in the world for the past 1400 years or so.

It scares me 100 times more to think that He didn't "write" them. :) Fallible men are always subject to error. If they were only guided, then any of them could have used their free will to reject that guidance and written anything they wanted. How can we conclude that the Bible is inerrant if it was subject to the contamination of man?

Psalms 68:11 : The Lord announced the word, and great was the company of those who proclaimed it: ...

2 Tim. 3:16 : All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, ...

2 Peter 1:20-21 : 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
