Of course, the "idiot" was intended as an insult by me. You are the one who tried to link it to blasphemy, and I explained that it cannot be, because there is no obscenity in the word (354); I then elaborated by providing a context in which it is not even derogatory. I obviously did not mean to call the creators of that stupid cartoon "blessed" in any way.

Objectivism is faith. Any complete system of knowledge has a foundation of faith. Now, I understand that "idiot" is commonly used as an insult, but "faith"?

I think Catholics generally believe something along the lines that knowledge of truth and ethic must be reveled from God and accepted through faith. Objectivists believe it must be extrapolated through observation and reason. So our disagreement is that you think knowledge is a product of faith in God’s revelations and I think God is a product of man’s reason. I’m not interested in debating it again now, just in briefly describing it to show you why wishing me well in my faith is received about as well as me wishing you well within the religion and God you’ve created. I hope that helps.

Best regards in the New Year.
