The Lord is Spirit, Holy and Ineffable. He is not a giant lizard. Lizards are low things, things that creep, also associated in the bible with demons. They are a created thing,considered unclean. To equate our Lord with such a creature, is loathesome to say the least.
He's not really shown as a lizard so much as a dinosaur type thing... really hard to describe. You'd have to see a screenshot.
I doubt they put THAT much symbolism and thought into the design.
