FYi..whiule channel surfing last night..I caught a few minutes of some program on religion in Europe..especially on the state of the Anglican Church in England...There are literally hundreds of old churches that have been abandoned, are excess, and are being sold off..converted into apartments, nightclubs..whatever...many of the churches still extant, they larger ones..have no more than 10 or so regular congregants..The CoE now is trying to become more "relevant", "reaching out" to the people..they have ordained ministers who go to soccer games and to bars..one guy is recognized as a "bar minister"...where they try to encourage people to attend church..you couldn't make this stuff up if you wanted to..
Oh yeah, it's estimated that by 2025 there will be MORE Muslims in GB than Anglicans..they're trying to build the mosque in London that will hold 40,000+
One other tidbit..In France...45% of the population have NEVER been inside a church..
