A Prayer for Gay Christians

Holy God, the One beyond gender, who has made us Lesbian and Gay in your own image: Give us daily knowledge that you love us just as we are; that no matter how much others may hate and fear us, we are yours. Grant that we may treat ourselves, and all our brothers and sisters, with as much love as you have shown to us. Bless your Church that it may grow to have one mind and heart as large as yours; through Jesus Christ, your gentle Son, who bore for us the violence of a sinful, broken world. Amen.

I can’t even begin to assail the theological error contained in this prayer.

FOR THE BEST USE OF OUR SEXUALITY*
O Lord, you give us life in our bodies, and enable us to share passion and joy uniting in love. Guide us in the best use of our sexuality. Help us to recognize and honor our partner’s full humanity. Teach us to put the other person first; show us all that love can become. Protect us when we are vulnerable, open us to greater sharing, and bring us ever closer to you and to each other; through Jesus Christ, who triumphed in his body to become our Savior. Amen.

Lord, is it okay to call you Big Dude? If so, will you bless every Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered kid on this planet? And our Straight friends too? Can you and I hang out together? I’m not ashamed of Jesus, I’m just scared. It’s so hard to fit in, to find a safe place. FOR OUR ARMED FORCES**
O Lord God of Hosts, stretch forth, we pray, your almighty arm to strengthen and protect the armed forces of our country, especially those who are Gay or Lesbian. Support them in the day of battle, and in the time of peace keep them safe from all evil; endue them with courage and loyalty; and grant that their superiors and all our citizens may value their inestimable service; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

…especially those that are Gay or Lesbian. It is all about sexuality after all.

At first they insisted that what went on behind closed doors between consenting adults was no one else's business. Sane People Acquiesced because no one wants someone else looking in on us either.

Then they began demanding to quite openly parade their activity down the street. Not to mention taking over whole sections of cities and making them where no right thinking person would go.

Then they started demanding to be portrayed as wholesome, "Bareback Mounting" is just the latest in that line.

And Now our society is under an orchestrated assault to have the very bedrock ripped out from under it. The fools are to stupid to know that if they succeed they will be among the first to suffer.
