A Prayer for Gay Christians

Holy God, the One beyond gender, who has made us Lesbian and Gay in your own image: Give us daily knowledge that you love us just as we are; that no matter how much others may hate and fear us, we are yours. Grant that we may treat ourselves, and all our brothers and sisters, with as much love as you have shown to us. Bless your Church that it may grow to have one mind and heart as large as yours; through Jesus Christ, your gentle Son, who bore for us the violence of a sinful, broken world. Amen.

I can’t even begin to assail the theological error contained in this prayer.

FOR THE BEST USE OF OUR SEXUALITY*
O Lord, you give us life in our bodies, and enable us to share passion and joy uniting in love. Guide us in the best use of our sexuality. Help us to recognize and honor our partner’s full humanity. Teach us to put the other person first; show us all that love can become. Protect us when we are vulnerable, open us to greater sharing, and bring us ever closer to you and to each other; through Jesus Christ, who triumphed in his body to become our Savior. Amen.

Kind of easing back into the job as "ping host". I looked in vain for the words "Onion" or "Scrappleface" (or whatever it is). Apparently this is serious. Took my appetite away.

Better if people who want to reject God's message and instructions just make up their own little "religion". It's vilely offensive for them to make up false prayers and act pious while glorying in the most deviant of behaviors which are in direct opposition to every holy book in the world.

I think the Bible is clear that in the end times the followers of the Antichrist will be very religious. There are a number of verses that make references to that.

Very few people think "I am bad and irreligious".

Real saintly and godly people are very humble. They certainly aren't proud of faults and sins.

I used to think the same thing (that homosexuals think only about sex, because that's the overall message they present) but now what I think it is is that they think only about A CULTURE OF SEX, about SEXUALITY as personal and group identity.

In that sense, yes, they "think only about sex," but it's now become a CULTURAL INSISTENCE by homosexuals, as to some cultural, social "order" of sexuality that they are trying to craft into an actual "religion" -- of religious proportions among their numbers.

Thus, the recent group-think-message to everyone else that homosexuality is something "God made" -- it's like saying God made evil, so let's all embrace and be evil and thank God for evil accordingly.

It's very twisted thinking and certainly a corruption of Judeo-Christian morality and theology itself, and has NO Biblical reference nor support.

It's entirely humanistic, "man made" as to fervor and relies upon a NON Biblical perspective to defend, explain itself, and is, therefore, quite entirely corrupt and abhorrent within a Scriptural perspective, and I do believe, in God's eyes.
