You're coming up with the insight that to be a Christian is to be like Christ. Mary, as the exemplar of the Christian vocation, is certainly much like Christ, just as we are all called to be like him more and more each day.

It's not for nothing that Romans 8 calls Jesus "the firstborn of many brothers".
