Oh, I didn't mean station as celibacy/married. I meant as in vocation. God calls some to be priests but others may be called to make the best shoe. Then and now, some people have the idea that a full time minister is somehow more spiritual (significant) than a lay person, and that is not necessarily true.
I odn't know about ministers, but the connection between celibacy and spirituality is scriptural, seen from the verses I alluded to.
