The vaican has a duty to kep any church calling itself Roman Catholic in line with doctrine.

The laity is hardly not called, but the bishops and arch bishops are utterrly necessary to preserve the faith.

Try as they might the laity cannot replace absolute canonical authority.

Laity are called and feel responsible but are not trained and often not suffiecntly capable.

At some point, the Laity has to grow-up. "Mom" look at what Joey and Jeff are doing. Make them stop."
