There's already been a ton of threads on this, I'm afraid.

You might be surprised to learn that some folks actually tried to defend the practice.

What is most interesting is that the Spanish version says "Navidad" i.e. Christmas.

By the way, the Spanish says (Roughly. Be nice to gringos):

Right here, now! Recently cut Christmas Trees

Purely speaking, some folks will argue that Navidad translates directly to nativity.

The Spanish translation still calls them Christmas trees!
Now that's something. They don't have "Happy Holidays" in Spanish, they celebrate Feasts. Christmas is just one of many.

I knew the godless commies had control of Lowes when they started staying open on Easter Sunday.(About 5 years ago) Their sales that day are pathetic, yet they force families to spend that most sacred day apart.
Also they have a diversity hiring and promoting scheme from H311. But hey, if you were born a certain color and sex..... it's your lucky day!!!!!! You'll make manager even if you can't read or write!

Trees indoors are quite a pain, and no more "official" a symbol of Christmas than any other. Maybe we should come up with a different one and zot the whole problem!

My youngest daughter and I spent some time over the weekend going through adverts, observing how many retailers omitted Christmas from their ads. She recently started working for Target and was surprised there was no mention of Christmas in their flyer. It was an eyeopening experience for her left-leaning behind.

Jeremiah 10:1-5

Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:

Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
