Introit: The Lord saith: I think thoughts of peace, and not of affliction: you shall call upon Me, and I will hear you; and I will bring back your captivity from all places (Jer. 29. 11, 12, 14)
Gradual/Alleluia: Thou hast delivered us, O Lord, from them that afflict us: and hast put them to shame that hate us. V.: In God we will glory all the day: and in Thy Name we will give praise for ever. (Ps. 43. 8, 9)
Alleluia, alleluia. V. (Ps. 129. 1, 2). From the depths I have cried to Thee, O Lord: Lord, hear my prayer. Alleluia. (Psalm also used in offertory.)
Communion: Amen I say to you, whatsoever you ask when you pray, believe that you shall receive and it shall be done to you. (Mark 11. 24)
OK, you're reading into this more deeply than I am...don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled about this. Sometimes (or most of the time) my analytical sense gets the better of me.
By the way, those Propers are sung on every Sunday from the 23rd. to the Last Sunday after Pentecost. A deeper "conspiracy" would be if this was done on the Last Sunday after Pentecost (Gospel from Matthew 24)! But, some will say that 11/19 (date of the document coming forth)being the day before the Last Sunday of the Church year is an omen too.
