Say, SaltyJoe,...go you have any good info on Saint Benedictus. I had a dream wherein he gave me a test of a sort. It included two large Hebrew letters, about 3 feet tall, one in jet black ink on a sheepskin, with another in 3D, orthogonal to the sheepskin made out of a gold mesh metal.

I never have understood it. Any ideas?

You may have me confused with the other Joe that can interpret dreams, ya know, the guy with a many colored coat? ;-)

I'll have to look this one up and get back with you later.

Which Hebrew letters were they?

Did one look like it had more "value" than the other?

What do you think the significance of St Benedictus is?

I've read a little about St. Benedict and his gift of bringing a disciplined order to the Monastic Life. What has the Pope said of St. Benedict (and how did he reference himself when he first spoke publicly)? Also, what does Pope Benedict XVI have on his coat of arms?

Please be careful when examining dreams. Many dreams are simply the mind speaking to itself. It can be a reflection of your own vanity and sometimes simply a reaction of food that you ate before sleeping. I say this because one time I had a very heavy steak dinner once before watching "The Exorcist" (one of my favorite movies). You can just imagine what my dreams were about. All night long I was chasing devils around my room.

Remain in a State of Grace and give plenty of time to prayer asking for guidance. Start with a lot of "thank you's" for everything good in your life (not just Grace before Meals). If you have a spiritual director, seek counsel from them. Make frequent visits to the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist (Daily Mass if possible). Visit Christ during the Exposition and seek a Church that has a Perpetual Adoration.

You're not alone in having profound dreams. I've had a few and I don't ignore them. Some happened years and years ago, and I still seek the meaning of them. Beware that not all thoughts and visions are from God.
