Statistics of Provinces of the Anglican Communion.
Current discussions about the Global South and Global Center have prompted interest in the numbers of churchgoers involved. Anglican Mainstream is therefore happy to provide statistics available on the web for membership of the Anglican Communion and of the Provinces of ECUSA.
The reported membership (baptised) of Provinces of the proposed Global Center are Central America 13,409; Cuba 3,000; Mexico 21,000; Brazil 40,000 and Province IX of ECUSA 31,937 giving a total of 109,446 baptised members.

[Forget the ECUSA stats (unless you're interested); the telling stats are of the Anglican Communion. There's many a surmise that the ECUSA figure is inflated due to unrecorded departures, but even were it not so, is it not telling that Uganda alone has more than three times as many Anglicans than the U.S. has Episcopalians, and Nigeria more than six times, Kenya more than the U.S, and even Australia half again as many? Granted, one can read too much into numbers, but this PDF makes it clear: the churches provoking the current controversy are but a very small part of world-wide Anglicanism. --sionnsar]

It's not the quantity, but the quality that matters. As one scoundrel [V. Lenin] liked to say, "better fewer, but better".

It's not the quantity, but the quality that matters. So do you consider Bishop Vicki G. Robinson and his ilk to be better quality than the Africans? If so, is it because of the relative color of the skin, or is it because of views on scripture?
