For people who are so selfish that they can't be bothered to buy a table for kids to do homework?
For people who waste their lives lavishing their love on their dogs, instead of raising up eternal souls to glorify God in heaven?
But forget about any sort of eternal perspective -- where do you think a society that doesn't produce children is headed? Japan is currently producing kids at the rate of about 1.3 children per woman. That's a recipe for extinction.
It wasn't the Mommies who spent the last week packing up 93 people to move off the floor to another floor at our office. It was the childless and the single toting those barges and lifting those bales.
You poor baby. Don't scream and kick and throw food, now, okay?
Japan is so crowded that they spend millions of dollars for tiny apartments that are mortgaged far beyond their own life-span. And the increasing sprawl of new people into the countryside I used to love, and the amount of increasing traffic on the freeway to me is evidence of a species that is thriving, even if a few folk decide not to breed.
As for wasting our lives lavishing love on their dogs, that's what freedom is all about, the right to spend your life doing what you love, whether that's breeding and caring for children, dogs, horses, or just a nice house. That it ticks you off when people believe differently is also your freedom. To each his own!
