I'd say that notation needs to give way in the face of multiple Papal encyclicals advocating Bible study by the laity and granting indulgences for the pious reading of Scripture.

Document the existence of such a Bible and I'll give you an answer.

You know this? Who are the "they"? Such serious charges deserve documentation from a credible source.

If you are incapable of doing so, then maybe you should rethink making such outrageous claims.
