In areas where members of the Church, or any church,
have sat by and through explicit action or sheer indifference tolerated or encouraged violence or
improper discrimination against homosexuals or any other minorities, we should be ashamed and make amends.
But to say that Christian belief is that homosexual behavior is sinful, and those doing it should repent and see transformance though Christ is not equivalent to approving of stringing them up on barbed wire fences and leaving them to die, and any attempt to equate the two is dishonest and wrong.
I think you would be VERY hard pressed to find any Episcopalian who has said or done anything violent or improperly discriminatory wrt homosexuals, let alone any official church position or action.
I mean, they're more likely to get after you for using the wrong fork at dinner . . .
