Communion kneeling by mouth is not prohibited.

Though it's not officially prohibited, it is definitely frowned upon in certain circles. I've read some "horror stories" concerning that.

If you don't want Communion by hand, then don't take it by hand.
If you're against abortion, then don't have one?

Those are two separate issues which you are trying to cloud by comparison. If your belief in God is such that you must take communion by mouth while kneeling, then do so. Why worry about horror stories. Do what your spirit tells you is right.

Bottom line is that the Vatican has said that both methods are acceptable, unlike abortion.

According to this report, Cardinal Mahony DENIED communicants the right to receive on the tongue, at a gay and lesbian pow-wow he presided over in Long Beach, Calif. back in 1997.

Excerpt:
At the Long Beach Mass, leavened bread was used instead of hosts, with Cardinal Mahony denying one young woman communion on the tongue. "No, this isn't done here," he told her.
