Once again, I am overjoyed that my people (Judaeophilic Fundamentalist Protestants) are so dedicated to the TaNa"KH and the continued practice of the Torah by the Jewish people, but at the same time heartbroken that they can't ever seem to bring themselves to shake off the superfluous "new testament" and chr*stianity for the simple Truth. I don't know why our people simply cannot seem to consider the possibility, even for a moment, that the TaNa"KH stands on its own, other than simple cultural indoctrination and inertia.

Our people defend the Jews from the other strains of chr*stendom and are willing to grant the Jews authority on any number of issues (such as the very dates of the holidays, which depend on Jewish Tradition). Yet there seems to be a sort of mental block when it comes to giving a hearing to Jewish claims that J*sus was not the messiah. How tragic.

May G-d remove our blindness soon. And let us take comfort in the fact that this situation is somehow part of G-d's plan.

Good article Laney. The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) is very clearly represented in the bible as the day that Christ returns to earth to claim his earthly crown.

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed

It's the same event as this:

Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded (-the trumpet); and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

As pointed out in the article, all prophetic and major events occur on the holy days that God created. For example, the holy spirit first came upon man at Pentecost. This is no coincidence, but part of God's prophetic plan. God made his holy days to help us understand them.

YOu seem or fail to realize in GOD's eyes there is no Jew nor Gentile ALL have a place in the Lamb's Book of Life and Salvation is through the Jews, but the Ultimate judge is the GOD of the universe and salvation which comes through his Son Jesus Christ...

Then I suppose you want to do away with the Jewish holidays.

And btw, the notion that the Jews remaining G-d's exclusive chosen people somehow means that all non-Jews must be eternally damned is sheer nonsense.

If you were to read your Bible from the front onwards and drop your fallacious prior assumption that the "new testament" is part of the Bible you might see things differently. But since this is something that seems almost impossible for our people to do.

May G-d open our eyes.

ZC,
No never said that GOD should do away with Jewish Holidays??? GOD's plan IMHO has always been through the Jews and what his promises are through the entire Holy Bible Tanakh..If I were to question the entire New testament then I would ALSO have to question the entire Old Testament Scriptures that to many people in the world say is full of fairtytales.

I have seen many christians embrace the Tanakh the Jewish roots of the christian faith which brings a closer and better sense of GOD and religion.

You CHOOSE to not believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, just as people CHOOSE not to believe there is a GOD..What is the entire truth? well I guess you could say that is the million dollar question that will be eventually answered, therefore my belief is Jesus Christ is the Messiah, first by a personal relationship I have with him and secondly what is biblically written and the hope, peace and love I feel from that belief which makes me a better person in my walk in life...

NASBu Isaiah 12:2 "Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For YHvH God is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation."

NASBu Psalm 118:14 YHvH is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.

On other thing ZC
Just some common sense or Food for Thought?
Do you think people are inherinently good?

Do you think if the millions of people who try to live the Christian message would if they didn't have to? when they believed there was no forgiveness?

The JEWS as humble that they were trying to spread monotheism were lost themselves and could not of been successful in spreading the word of GOD and having people for all time to embrace that notion, it's because they were human beings they were not all knowing they were not divine therefore the only DIVINE presence to walk this earth and produce this belief of GOD's message for all time was JESUS CHRIST.

The JEWS did a wonderful thing for humanity by loving GOD-1 GOD Creator of Heaven and Earth so much and trying to obey his word that it enabled GOD to bring fourth a Son his only Holy Divine Son that gave hope for the entire world then and the world to come..

NO MAN would of ever been able to accomplish what Jesus Christ has...

Lastly ZC,
The Jewish people will always be blessed by the Lord and the holy covenant he has with them....

They have been persecuted since the beginning of time, the Apostles: JEWS spread the message of salvation and Jesus Christ to the Gentile World, they remained steadfast when they were abused, ran out of cities, ridiculed and eventually killed for there beliefs.....

Yes so I would say the Jewish High Holidays are special for JEWS and Christians through-out the world...

Isaiah 2

1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

2 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. 3 Many people (goyim) shall come and say, “ Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law (Torah), And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

4 He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.

He will teach us His ways,
And we shall walk in His paths.”
For out of Zion shall go forth the Torah,
And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

I suspect is has something to do with the doctrine that teaches that Messiah = YHVH.

I think the Infinite One can pay an infinite amount of attention and care to each and every little ant. It behooves us to do our best in return.

Stingy Dog posted "we Christians"

That does not include our family
King Vanity and I see the OT as history and genealogy and as Catholic Christians we respect the Jewish calender also as part of that history and tradition.
So many things are revealed in the OT that has to do with what man eats, health ect.
God lays down a foundation/guidelines for daily living us in the OT. Heck even medical public safety in health so as not to spread disease.
Women's health care issues like rest so many days after childbirth.

Then there is the NT in which we base out faith in Christ's spiritual teachings.

I don't understand all of King Vanities communications or early writing from his youth but I trust what he says and on a recent survey that went around he said his favorite holiday is Rosh Hoshana (sp) he has always referred to that day in his past writings and something about banquets of food. I had to find out what Challah bread was years ago that he wrote about. I knew Matzah.

I don't know the whole story as to what he had revealed to him the 3 times he left this earth and came back other than what he has shared the rest he tells me one can't fathom unless you experience being with God.

Our faith does not start and stop with the New Testament.
