The origin of evolutionary theory is atheistic. And it says NOTHING of origins. You have to have life before it can evolve. Saying God made a cell and said "evolve" is hardly compatible with the Genesis account, which indicates that God made Adam from the red earth. Is that allegory? If it is, then what other parts of the bible are allegory and what criteria do you use to discern between the two? If Genesis is allegory, then Adam and Eve were not real, therefore, there is no original sin, and no need for a Savior, and no need for Jesus Christ. So, why do catholics go to confession again?

Jesus Himself said that Moses wrote of Him. Jesus quoted from most books of the Old Testament, including the Noah flood account. Any Christian who believes evolutionary theory has to deal with the words of Jesus Christ, who said: "In the beginning, God made them male and female." The beginning simply means the beginning with reference to time. Time did not exist before God created the universe and the physical laws.
