The contempt they have shown for Jewish artifacts is appalling The contempt Israel has shown for Jewish artifacts is appalling (allowing the barbarians to do what they do).

I expect several Israeli "experts" will come out and say this is a forgery. The PC climate right now is very against proving the 1st temple existed.

"Oh wow! I would love to be over there sifting thru the rubble."
Yes. Except for the fact that the Palestinian Authority dumped raw sewage over the rubble when they left it.

People should also read the text inscribed in the inside of The Dome of the Rock. A large hunk of it is directed toward Christianity and the Trinity but, in the process, it acknowledges Jesus as the Son of Mary and Messiah. It even mentions the Holy Spirit, the idea that Jesus was God's Word, and even seems to agree with the virgin birth but then denies that Jesus was the Son of God or a part of God. That's strong evidence that there were also Christians in Jerusalem before the Muslims. You can find a tanscript
here.

I agree. I have a love of ancient ruins and stuff, and if I could get over there for a dig, I would do it in a heartbeat.
I think it's neat we're finding all this stuff from the time of the kings of Israel. For awhile, people were asking "If the Bible's true, why don't we find archaeological evidence?" Well, we're finding it now! I'm amazed there are still people who ask where the evidence is.

The only thing I have done like this is arrowhead hunting in south Texas and northern Mexico. I would rather do that than most anything I can think of. I have picked up a pot shard or two in some of the state parks in New Mexico but please don't tell anyone. ;9)

lol, don't worry, I won't. I wish I had a pot shard. :P
Lucky. I would love to go into that sort of thing as actual work... but I've got something else in mind, so I would just like to do that sort of thing as a hobby, if I had the cash.
