Lord have mercy
Christ have mercy,
Lord have mercy.

Lord, graciously hear us.

Hear us, O Lord,
and let our cry come unto you,
cries for you children
under the threat of disaster.

In your mercy, O Lord,
preserve those facing the brunt of the storm.

You told us to ask,
to pray,
to have faith.
This day, we ask you to speak the word,
as you did on the sea of Galilee,
and still the storm.

Preserve us all, always,
and keep us safe under your wing.
Teach us to know that you are our first shelter,
our steadfast Rock.

May we in turn, learn to love you more.

In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

The voice of the LORD is upon the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the LORD, upon many waters.

The voice of the LORD is powerful,
the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars,
the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf,
and Si'rion like a young wild ox.

The voice of the LORD flashes forth flames of fire.
The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness,
the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
The voice of the LORD makes the oaks to whirl,
and strips the forests bare;
and in his temple all cry, "Glory!"

The LORD sits enthroned over the flood;
the LORD sits enthroned as king for ever.
May the LORD give strength to his people!
May the LORD bless his people with peace!
