No one is saying the vision did not occur. No one is saying that she did not receive a secret from the Virgin. What we are saying is the that the popularly published secret is a fraud and not what was approved by the Church.
Perhaps there are elements of truth to the ammended message, however, it's been roundly condemned. Satan is devious. Melanie was not under some divine shield. He can manipulate the weak, and the weak are typically disobedient. So, it's a two-parter. Part One - good, accepted by the Church as authentic. Part Two - not good, condemned multiple times.
LaSalette is an extremely holy shrine. No doubt. This second, inflammatory message of the "violent" Virgin is not authentic and should not be disseminated as such.
