THAT'S WHAT I'm beginning to see it as.

And am praying that God gives only what's necessary for our nation to mostly wake-up and then a long breather to make some progress with that being awakened.

I hope we don't go from worse to worse to worse every few weeks or so.

Chastisement is closer to how I see it as opposed to some of the Protestant views of End Times. We're long over due. While the US certainly does not corner the market for decadence and amorality we lead the pack in some parts of the country.

Lately I'm reminded of something I read a few months back...

WIth my Son I have intervened so many times to appease the wrath of the Father. I have prevented the coming of calamities by offering Him the sufferings of the Son on the Cross, His Precious Blood, and beloved souls who console Him forming a cohort of victim souls. Prayer, penance and courageous sacrifices can soften the Father's anger. I desire this also from your community...that it love poverty, that it sanctify itself and pray in reparation for the ingratitude and outrages of so many men."
