Except for getting over the Bay Bridge (which really isn't all that bad on a Sunday morning - the worst traffic in that direction is all Friday and Saturday), it's a pleasant drive there.
Getting back (fighting the traffic back from the shore) is another matter, though. But that's only really four months or so out of the year. ;-)
