[In particular to Texas members of the Traditional Anglican Ping List is this announcement from servantboy777 (I had not even heard of this group until just now). Note: the source will not be accurately rendered here. --sionnsar]

The Coalition will be a witness for and advocate of traditional, historic, Biblical Anglican Christianity within the Diocese of Texas

The Coalition of Like-Minded Clergy and Laity is made up of concerned Christians of the Diocese of Texas, both ordained and lay, who feel that the Episcopal Church of the United States has left the traditional teachings of The One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church behind. The Coalition believes that the Bible is the inspired word of God and contains Revealed Truth which teaches us to stand firm with love in a world challenged by popular culture and false teachings.

Our speaker at St. John the Divine on August 20, Sarah Hey, delivered the presentation "13 Things Lay People Can Do Right Now: A Baker's Dozen" at the Diocese of Mississippi's Training Day. Sarah is a lay person and co-founder of Sanctuary To listen to Sarah's presentation, click here.

This link will take you to the Anglican Communion - The Windsor Report website.

Dr. Robert Gagnon was gracious enough to let us put an audio version of his talk from January 29 at St. Martin's Houston on this site. Please be aware that this presentation is almost three hours in length. (At some points the original audio quality was poor, so the problems you might hear during playback are not a problem with your computer.)

We would like to invite you to read Rev. George Woodliff's brilliant essay on the crisis in the Episcopal Church, Rediscovering Christian Orthodoxy in Episcopal Anglicanism. (The essay is in PDF format but please note prior to downloading and/or printing, it is 78 pages long.)

Please continue to check back for news on The Coalition. When the next event is scheduled all the information will be available here.

The Coalition has set up an AAC Chapter in the Diocese of Texas. While this is a critical step for many, it is important for those interested in our organization to note that it is NOT necessary to join the AAC to be a part of The Coalition. Please see the AAC page for more information on the Chapter.

If you are interested in getting more information or are located within the Diocese of Texas and are interested in joining us please e-mail The Coalition at thecoalition@texascoalition.org.

The two of you are most welcome! You and your group are in our prayers.

(And if you are in a position to post a piece about the meeting and want help, please let me know. From my time spent perusing the blogworld, and things I've seen therein, it's my opinion that such an article is likely to go quite far beyond FR, reaching perhaps hundreds to thousands more people than this small list's membership.)

I agree. We just never thought to try and post it as a thread. I'm so glad you did.
