I check in for much the same reason I do "Thinking Anglicans" and other sites "across the aisle" -- to see what's being bounced around over there. And once in a while something turns up. Can you sense a desperation here?

I sense more than desperation...it's near panic..I don't think thay ever had any idea that we'd be so close to schism..so soon...they always figured we'd move...dare I say it..heaven and earth to stay..now it's just the opposite..

BTW..the last line of your post should, nay MUST, become your new tagline...and isn't "dreck" a wonderful word....it just rolls off the tongue...though, now, I'm not sure if it isn't "drek?"
