Seems to me that I read weekly about worse and worse crimes being committed by younger and younger perps. And none of those were happening before Harry Potter?

Harry Potter is just part of a 30 year trend of the "occultization" of entertainment.
Walk around Blockbuster and look for movies with occult themes displayed on the cover.
You will be shocked.

I don't hold that those books are the sole cause, but it seems to me that there has in recent years been a noticeable upsurge in both numbers and heinousness of crimes committed by young offenders.
