"Declan's a heretic and always has been! He wants female ordination in the Roman Catholic Church, and the last thing on earth he wants are conservative Anglicans coming into the Catholic Church.
Declan isn't even a Catholic any more. He's an evil heretic! Is anyone listening?"
I think it is presumptuous to declare a bishop a heretic except in the most extreme and obvious cases. Its one thing to say you doubt a bishops orthodoxy. Its quite another to pronounce him "an evil heretic." Could you please provide a quote from him endorsing the ordination of women? If he is on record supporting such a thing I will concede your charge of heresy. Thats not saying I think he is a good bishop or that he is entirely orthodox. There are not many bishops I would call orthodox right now. But you are using some fairly strong language in your attacks upon him.

I don't know anything about this bishop, but is it possible that he's been quoted out of context?
Because he's involved in ecumenical affairs with the Anglican Church, he's in a delicate position when it comes to discussions about a large number of Anglican Clergy being received into the Catholic Church. Is it possible he was making a diplomatic gesture that sounds awkward?

Oh vomitous dreck.
I have been restrained, bub. But I am more than ready to load my rocket launcher and let you have it if you continue with the smarmy attitude of self-appointed thought police on behalf of the dignity of the Catholic episcopate.
Back off.
