Latin excuse, hogwash, just as is a lot else the Latins do and say, you munch on cheese, and you even chow down, This is fasting? Gimme a break, Is the Latin denomination for real?

Which of the above was an ad hominem?
Which of the above attacked you personally, as opposed to your actions or your opinions?
Which of the above was any different than what is or has been said by your fellow Roman Catholics in SSPX and SSPV?

"There are some Greek Orthodox and some Russian (OCA)." And you say these were second marriages and divorcees?
I am obviously saddened to hear this and greatly shaken. What more can I say than that?
You do know, of course, that the Orthodox Church does not recognize marriages outside of the Church. Could these have been people who married in the Church after converting to Orthodoxy?

I don't care what others may have said to you or others. I'm concerned with your manner towards me.

Just because everyone is jumping off a cliff doesn't mean you should follow.

If you can't see the insulting nature of your post, please don't bother continuing.

Not second marriages, marriages between Orthodox and non-Orthodox.

Canons of the Council of Trullo, 72

An orthodox man is not permitted to marry a heretical woman, nor an orthodox woman to be joined to a heretical man. But if anything of this kind appear to have been done by any [we require them] to consider the marriage null, and that the marriage be dissolved. For it is not fitting to mingle together what should not be mingled, nor is it right that the sheep be joined with the wolf, nor the lot of sinners with the portion of Christ.

I'm pretty thoroughly Eastern Orthodox, having converted just after finishing graduate school and not being terribly young anymore. My young adult children don't remember anything but Orthodoxy.

My days of passing through Anglicanism were quite a while ago, and I retain a great deal of fondness for what I gained during those years of exploration. I very much like some aspects of the old Anglican aesthetic to this day.

I've read much of Lossky, but never anything on Lancelot Andrews. Wasn't it of the latter that it was once said that had he been present at the Tower of Babel, he might have been able to bring order to things, given how many languages he knew?

By the way, you once asked me about any in-depth treatments of the monarchy of the Father vis a vis the Orthodox theology of the Trinity. I read this lately, and I think you would enjoy reading it, even if you don't fully agree:

The link hasn't been working, but if you do a Google for "The Procession of the Holy Spirit in Orthodox Trinitarian Doctrine" and click on Google's cached pages, you can pull up the article. You may have already read it, but if not, enjoy. I'll be interested to see what you think.

Regards,

A.
