Most certainly you did, and I think you're smart enough to know it.

Well, here's the exchange. You point it out where I equated the two.

"I have often heard it said that you MUST interpret the Old Testament in light of the New Testament."

If you do not consistently interpret the OT by the NT, you end up with all sort of strange-ologies, e.g., the Judaizers of Galatians, rabbinic Judaism, Messianic Judaism, dispensationalism, Christian Zionism, etc. Even Islam is an attempt to bypass the NT and incorporate selective OT concepts into a new religious system.

Then the comment by P-Marlowe, "To equate Dispensationalism and Messianic Judiasm with Islam is ludicrous."

What I said, which it quite clear, that is you do not interpret the OT in light of the NT you end up with strange theologies. And I gave some examples. I then mentioned Islam in a separate statement. I did not equate any of the theologies. Simply mentioning two things togther in the same breath does not equate them, e.g., rabbinic Judaism and Messianic Judaism in my example. The statement, "My dog and my cat enjoy the sunshine," does not mean that I think my dog and cat are identical in every way. You might, but you would be wrong.

I figured y'all were smart enough to know the difference.
