You know, the verses that actually pop into my mind was:

I was going to argue this but it makes me sound more and more pessimistic. I feel like I'm digging myself into a hole. :O)

Mat 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it."

I was going to argue this but it makes me sound more and more pessimistic. I feel like I'm digging myself into a hole. :O)

The website I quoted Spurgeon from, evangelicaloutreach.org, actually was arguing that Spurgeon was in error in that regard, and cited that passage. EO has some interesting articles, but there are a couple that almost read like ad hominem attacks on people rather than cogent arguments from evidence.

Oh, and for the record, Evangelical Outreach is an Arminian apologetics website.
