Ahh, Good Dr. E.,

"You trivialize its meaning by failure to recognize the force of the Day and lose sight of the great Hope of the church and blunt the coming terror for the lost."

Let's break down the sentence:

You trivialize its meaning by failure to
recognize the force of the Day and
lose sight of the great Hope of the church and
blunt the coming terror for the lost.

I don't believe there is anything in the sentence that says the church has anything to fear. It does say in trivializing its meaning we lose the force of the Day i.e. for the church we lose sight of the great Hope and I guess that loss could be the cause of anxiety. Oops Dr. E., there's that word again, but this time I don't have anything to confess, well, I did have a donut this morning and that messed up my diet, but that's all.

Donuts raise the blood sugar which tends momentarily to quell anxiety.

Have another, b-d.
